Corn on The Cob is the most family friendly recipe you can make but if your looking to spice it up a bit this recipe makes it more “adult”.
Ingredients:
- Corn On The Cob (For this Recipe I am measuring out ingredients for 5 Cobs)
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Chili Powder
- 2 pinches of Cayenne Pepper (add more if your a spice person)
- 2 pinches of Chili Flakes (add more if your a spice person)
- 1/2 – 2/3 Cup Parmesan
- Butter
Cooking Instructions:
- Boil a large pot of SALTED water. Your water should almost taste like the ocean.
- Add your corn on the cob to the boiling water for 8-9 minutes.
- Strain the water out of your corn on the cob and let sit in strainer in sink.
- Put a large pan on your stove top with NO oil in it and put it at high heat.
- On a plate add a generous amount of butter then put it in the microwave till it is fully melted.
- With tongs, add your corn on the cobs from strainer to your high heat pan.
- On another plate combine salt, pepper, chili powder, cayenne pepper, chili flakes, and parmesan.
- Set your butter plate and spice plate next to each other.
- Check on your corn on the cob. It should start blackening, you want it to slightly blacken so if one side is blackening start rearranging the cobs in pan to get even blackening over the entire cob.
- Once you have desired blackening turn your stove top off and remove the cobs from the pan to a plate.
- Line up the cob plate, butter plate, and spice plate next to a new clean serving plate.
- Take each cob and roll it in the butter, then in spice/parmesan mixture, and place on serving plate.
- Easy peasy your done!
This recipe is super simple but it adds pop to your corn on the cob!
