When you mention brussel sprouts to some people there reaction tends to depend solely on their first few experiences eating them. These sprouts are cooked to perfection and will be devoured by ANYONE you put them in front of.
Ingredients:
- 1 Large Bag of Brussel Sprouts (Make Extra – Trust Me)
- 1/3 Cup Balsamic Vinegar
- 1/4 Cup Olive Oil
- Butter (At least 1/2 Cup – Add More if You Like)
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 1/2 table spoons Chopped Garlic (Either chop it yourself or buy chipped garlic)
- 1 lb of Bacon
- 1/2 cup of Graded Parmesan
- 1/2 Lemon
Cooking Instructions:
- Pre-heat the oven to 400° F with the rack as close to top of your oven as possible.
- Prep your brussel sprouts. To do so, wash them, cut off the hard base at bottom of each sprout and cut the sprout in half.
- Put the deepest pan you have on stove at medium heat.
- Add your balsamic vinegar, Olive Oil, and Garlic to the pan.
- Let the ingredients in pan simmer (while stirring occasionally) till the balsamic begins to thicken slightly.
- Add in the butter and stir it around till everything is combined together.
- Add in your sprouts and stir them around in the liquid in the pan till they are all covered.
- Put a lid on your pan and cook for 8-10 minutes then check your sprouts. They should be still slightly dense but not soft because we are cooking them a little longer in the oven. If they are not done, in 3 minute intervals check the sprouts till they are done.
- Once they are at the right texture empty everything in your pan onto a tin foiled oven friendly tray and change your oven temperature to a high broil.
- It is very important to watch your sprouts very carefully at this point you want them to get golden brown from the broil.
- Once your sprouts are golden brown take them out of the oven and cover them with salt, pepper, graded parmesan, and squeeze the half lemon over them.
- Mix up the sprouts in your serving bowl and start eating!
